|
The purpose of this study is for in developing a sex education program for military personnel in Korea and verifying the effects of the program. For this purpose, we designed two steps: 1) The first step was to develope a sex education program for military personnel; 2) the second step was to verify the effects of the program by examining the sexual awareness, self-conception, interpersonal relation. For this study, 60 patients from two military hospitals were divided into test group and non-test group, 30 patients in each group. The test group took part in the program four times totally for 90 minutes each time, while the non-test group did not take any lessons regarding to the program courses. According to the courses of the sex education which were designed by surveying the needs of sex education and interviewing the experience of military service, we make the program including three parts: introduction, development and finishing course. We focused on designing the development course that was composed of such sub-courses as development of a human being, sexual troop morals and ethics, human relationships and communication. The data collected for this study were processed by using the SAS program. The average and standard deviation of the prior- and post-inspection were obtained and t-test was used to analyze the effects. Based on the discussion and analysis of the result obtained through the above-mentioned procedures, we conclude that the program we developed was effective in improving the sexual awareness, self-conception, interpersonal relation of the military personnel.
